So i've found myself in the rather nice position of having an LA art curator approaching me, and wanting to use some of my artwork in a upcoming show he is putting together. Which is great, but i've never been in this position before. And don't have a clue how to deal with it. Should I expect payment, before the show? after the show? both? should I have to pay anything out myself. Given that i'm in Scotland and the show is in Hollywood - should i get stuff printed out here and shipped over, or just let him deal with that? Should I let him know that this is the first time anything like this has happened to me, or would you be wary that he might kinda rip me off?
As you can see, i'm pretty clueless about this whole situation, and would really love if any of you guys that have been in a similar situation could pass on some advice Thanks a ton Steve - see - i used my real name, that means this is serious : )

Some galleries pay for everything to be framed the way they want it, some expect the artist to take care of that. You should ask them what they expect from you.
