So, my Loves Drawing Sub. I decided to take a slightly different approach to this challenge than most. The part of the challange that stuck the most with me was the...

"It's incredible how random drawings in sketchbooks, on coffee table napkins, or doodled across sticky notes become sweet pieces of art once fleshed out onscreen."

...part of the brief. Using this as my starting point, I decided to flick back through my sketchbooks and see what jumped out at me.



This little guy was created for a previous sub, that done okay. But the original submission lost some of the free-ness and loose-ity (say Yes! to creating your own words btw!) of the original sketch.



I decided I wanted to re-use this simple line drawing and, without over complicating it, develop it up into it's own concept. Then I had the idea of creating it as a kind of light sketch that, hopefully, retains the freedom of the sketch but makes it strong enough to make this multi-layered design.



So, I'm not sure if i've done it quite right and stuck entirely to the concept of the challenge, but i've had fun and, I'm hoping, come up with a nice, funky little original design.
