yeah i do a lot of freelance for small businesses and individuals and that has significantly beefed up my resume. i've used craigslist over the years to get my freelance, although not sure where you're located or if craigslist is big where you are.
I like the collage idea, but I feel like the thin lines don't do it any favors and the colors are pretty washed out. You need bolder, clean lines for something like this to look good on a shirt and either go greyscale or work on a color palette that is pleasing to the eyes when jumbled up like this is.
i agree. i would go heavier on the linework, and use it to add more details, then pick a color palette with more limited colors, maybe like monochromatic, so it doesn't get too busy.
