My friend who was working on my site having problems with the coding and is sorta flaking out and says he has no idea when he get finish the site for me. Unfortunately for me I need a site pretty soon in order to start selling stuff!

Sooo.... if anyone is good at website stuff and wouldn't mind lending a hand in getting something up for me that would be great!

I can pay a small fee now or maybe work out some sorta payment plan? Or even figure out some sort of an exchange of items for the work? I can sew really well and I also do fiber arts like fabric painting and batik etc.

Ok well I'm totally depressed.. I had like my first job interview in months and I'm sure I didn't get it. Anyways there was alot of miscommunication of information that was given to me and they're blaming me for it even though I followed the directions I was given. I'm just so upset. lol.. I tried icecream but I don't feel better.. and I have no beer in the apartment... so what do you do to feel better? Usually my cat is very cuddly and makes me happy but he's sleeping in the clothes hamper and not available for cuddling since he seems so happy in there. Anyways I'll probably delete this in a bit since the whole mess is embarassing.

UPDAT July 26th

Just added Rollin' Hatin Select Reconstruction. This one was crazy tough since the whole back was damaged with a black grease. I reconstructed it as a deep scoop back halter top. There is a medium purple tie around the neck and a dark purple band from front to back that keeps the girls from falling out the sides ;) it can also be used to hide a bra band. I did one version of this and it didn't work so I had to pullt he whole thing apart and start again. $45

UPDATE July 23rd

Symbol or Signifier Select reconstruction. Cut off the top of the tee and added a deep purple tank style top. Added a patchwork overlay of pieces of top of the shirt that was cut off. Edges were bound with an extra strip of the purple fabric and secured with a zig-zag stitch. The design is a little off kilter and not 100% centered and the hem has a teeny irregularity where the front was only a quarter of an inch longer in the front.. I liked it so when I put the front and back together I left the irregularity in the hem. Going to have to say $45 for this one because of all the extra labor that went into it.



UPDATE July 9th
I Got Another Whale is finished and available. I cut the design out and carefully placed it ontop of a made from scratch Heather Grey tee that I made. The tee has a wide slightly scooped ballet neck. The overlay is held on with a grey zig-zag stitch along the edge done twice with a single straight black stitch along the edges of the cat and the whale where is is very unobtrusive to the design.. as you can see in the picture the stitch is hardly visable but it add extra durability and strength to the design patch. $40


UPDATE July 5th
Attack of Literacy is now available! This fits much closer to a girly medium than a girly large tee (as you can see it's a bit tight on me) but it came out super cute. The straps were a pain to figure out so I have to charge a little more for this one. To be sold to Ladykat. :)


Round Two:
Not too many this time... only two so far.. I'm working on Attack of Literacy right now but it's not going to be done till probably tomorrow.

Patchwork reconstructed as a tunic / dress. It is actually long enough to be worn as a dress :) I just hate my legs so I'm wearing it as a tunic with jeans. True size large fit, although this can be easily reduced down to a medium if the buyer wants. $40


Ci'trust me its Moving reconstructed as a cutie cross-back tank top. This one runs small much closer to a medium than a large as you can see it's really snug on me. $40

Serenade patched over an aeropostale tissue tee with some other bird screenprint on it. Colored thread is stitched through the design to add texture and to secure the overlay to the shirt. - Holding for miss Twiggyhall :)


MP3 turned into an extra long tunic top with a ruffle on the collar and a bold white stripe around the middle. $30


Ignorance is Bliss made into a fun tanktop with added black detailing on the straps and hem. $35 (I liked this one so much I made 2 so I could keep one! hehe)


The Doomsday Select made into a ruched tank with a black ribbon made of teeshirt material that ties in the back. SOLD!

ok well i'm kinda bored tonight. my bf's already gone to bed since he works in the middle of the night and i need something to do. i've been sewing all week so i'm just taking a teensy break from that and will get back to it later on. there will be photos in day or so of the sewing projects ;)

i'm kinda thinking of maybe dying my hair. lol :) i just can't decide if i want to go red or black. right now its kinda brown with these lighter colored blondish brown streaks. hehe when the cherry red streaks washed out i was left with these weird bleached hair clumps. but i've never done black before and am tempted to try it but am afraid to because it's almost impossible to color over black if i hate it.

Yay! heheh I just emailed threadspotting with a newly spotted tee! Andrew wore Florence Nightingale on Top Chef tonight. heheh I was so excited I took a video of it with my camera and emailed threadspotting immediately. Hopefully they pick it for their blog post!

Ok well I've refined my handbags even more and am pretty sure I'm ready to set up a website of my own as etsy won't work for the new direction.

I've been dredging craigslist looking for a person to build the site and was curious how much is a reasonable price is? The prices I'm seeing are really all over the board and well being unemployed I can't afford a really expensive fee.

I'm so dissapointed... what with my personal issues I'm having and now this. I can't believe that it only got 2.08 and the number of people who voted is pretty low. I worked so so so hard on this one too.

Mmm.. my coffee just finished! I can hear the little beep now that tells me it's ready. :) And despite having to be on hold with unemployment this morning for like 30 + minutes (I still havn't gotten through to anyone and have to call again) I'm still in a pretty cheery mood because now I have coffee!

Oh and plz go vote on my sub too if you havn't yet. It would improve my mood even more since I'm not looking forward to calling unemployment again.

Ok.. well it's going on 4 months of unemployment now and I've been looking for ways to supplement the government check (hehe it doesn't go very far in Los Angeles). Anyways my question would be would you girls be interested in buying reconstructed threadless tees? I was going to start pulling the unworn and worn only once'ers from my own personal tee collection and reconstructing them with additional accent fabrics etc to try to make them more girly. Eventually I'd offer to reconstruct tees you may already have but since I don't have examples of my work I wouldn't do that yet. lol.. although with a BFA in Fashion Design I can guarantee that the quality of my work would be damn good :)

So yeah.. before I start ripping my threadless collection to pieces I'm looking for some feedback from you girls out there. Would you buy reconstructed threadless tees? What would the price range be?

I'm also considering posting the tee to be reconstructed (probably using etsy or rethreaded since I don't think I'd be allowed to do it here in the blogs) and working on a custom per-request idea so that the shirt is custom made to fit whoever buys it and made in the style of the buyers choice?? This would cost more as I would need to start keeping an inventory of tees and fabrics and various notions etc. but would be more custom and personal.

Also I'd be open to doing guys shirts too if there was interest!

lol well I've finally got a new sub up. Something different than stuff I've done before. :)

This one just evolved from some random sketching I was doing in the evenings.. I liked what it was looking like so I pulled out the microns and started drawing it up. lol... took me like 3 weeks of sketching and trashing of versions to get it right and another week trying to learn how to remove the white background. But over all I like the way it came out alot.
