Question for those of you who do traditional art at home... Do you have a studio space set up just for your art? You know someplace you draw or paint or sculpt etc? We sold the dining table and are using the space to set up an area where I can sculpt and create stuff. But I'm having a tough time deciding how to set up the space. I'm hoping to find a big table that I can work standing or sitting... I'm also looking for some sort of storage solution for my clay, sculpy, cement mixes, moulds and clamps.

Anyways I'd love to see other peoples current creative space set ups. :) Also if anyone has any suggestions about furniture or storage I'd appreciate it.

I love the "hobby table" from pottery barn but am not spending $1000 on something I'm going to be pretty rough on. But I don't want to just whip something ugly together from home depot since the space is part of the living room and anyone who comes in the apt will see it.

Having a home studio space is so difficult. Right now at home with a toddler and a newborn it's real hard to create work at home. We have to make sure that the door's closed if we're not in the room, else my son with "collaborate" and work on a painting/drawing.

Aww sounds cute :) but I can see where it would be annoying and dangerous having a set up area at home with two very small children.

I'm lucky as that's not a concern for me. I just have a cat. And seriously even if I locked him out of the space (even if I could) he'd get fur in everything anyways.
