Interview in Seattle! *update*

UPDATE:
Date is set for November 2nd between 11:30 and 3:30... but the last flight out of seattle that day back to LA is pretty early at 6:30pm. Any chance someone up there would be willing to let me couch crash for the night and maybe drop me off at the airport in the morning?

I had 2 great phone interviews with a company based in the Seattle / Bellevue area and they want to bring me up for the day to meet with them the week of Nov 2nd. They haven't confirmed the exact day yet but I'm still totally excited! I wonder if during that "day" I'll have time to be able to squeeze in a meeting with the seattle threadless clan?

lol i know using numbers instead of spelling it out is a bit of a quirk of mine. Probably because of my work.. its really easy for a factory in asia to misunderstand a spelled number than a typed number :P

i'm just so thrilled though having not had a job offer or even a really promising interview in like 2 years. Now this week i've got 'two' very promising interviews. One here in LA and the one in seattle. Although in all honesty the seattle group seems more excited about me as they're really fast in getting back to me.

thanks all! I'm still excited. The lady said she'd get back to me with specific dates asap. There are a few people she says I have to meet and shes waiting for them all to confirm what day works for them.

If you AIM me (pyr4lis) I'm more than happy to tell you what company. I just don't want to post here since I don't want to chance the wrong person stumbling upon my post. Technically they're based in Bellevue across the bridge from Seattle.

About half an hour - give or take, depending on traffic

I just looked up bus information and it looks pretty simple, actually -there's a bus that leaves from about a block from my house that would get you downtown and then you would just grab another bus from our bus tunnel and it would take you straight to the airport

It looks like the whole trip would take about an hour because of bus stops, etc.

the bus was super fast compared to LA buses, lor. seriously, the ride was like, nothing. there's a streamline route that goes almost right to twiglets work. :D

Oh yeah, good call, Missus, Lori - you could ocme with me to work and then you'd only have to take one bus, super quick & easy! The bus tunnel is only a block away from my work

heh yeah I'm just trying to figure out how to put it down in an email. I don't want them to think I'm trying to take advantage of them by doing other things other than them while I'm up there.

yeah thats what i'm thinking. I'll just mention if the interview runs over is 6:30 going to be too tight of a flight. Then wait and see if she suggests me staying the night.

thanks. i think they settled on the 6:30 flight so unfortunately I'm not sure if I'll have time to meet anyone :( I guess I can cross my fingers and hope for crappy weather and flight delays

Mezo - That could be possible! The job is right near Bellevue Way NE and NE 8th Street near the Bellevue Shopping Square. (at least according to google maps it is.) I'll call you and let you know. I'm not sure if they're planning on providing me with lunch or just letting me fend for myself. But I'm out at 3:30 with planned (at this moment) plane take off at 6:30. I might see if the airline can change my departure to tuesday and not charge me a fortune :P

Hrmm... I've got a A.A. in Design & a B.A. in Fashion Design. Sucky though that with all those degrees I've only ever had to take 1 computer graphics course. But I've learned alot through working experience. Anyways I'm currently working as an Accessory Designer in LA.

I love my cat. His name is Zelazny and he's just the sweetest kitty ever! He love people... even strangers! He love taking naps where he doesn't belong and being picked up and those little kitty treats with the crunchy outside and squishy inside. He love feather sticks and little catnip mice. He does not like dogs and other cats. He is a big bully and will try to beat them up. He will also meow until you pick him up and give him attention. :D
