What movie should I see?

K... well my boyfriend & I are going to go see a movie tonight and I'm not sure what's out that's worth seeing. Usually we go to see something that we've been "waiting" for but this time we just wanna relax in a nice air conditioned theater for a couple of hours.

Is there anything out worth seeing? I'm going to check rottentomatoes right now

hrmm never heard of the first one... the second sounds funny but i hate being crammed in a theater packed with kids.

A google search "north Hollywood theater" will bring up a list of showtimes of nearest theaters. The Century 8 North Hollywood is our usual preferred location

500 Days of Summer.

(500) Days of Summer is a fantastic movie. it's a romantic dramedy that is sweet and happy and sad and funny and quirky and somehow manages to still feel fresh and interesting throughout. plus, i've always loved the two main stars (Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel), so getting to see them be cute together for 2 hours (even with all the downer moments that they warn you about right off the bat in the opening credits) made me feel really happy

hmmm.... nothing at that theater really jumps out at me as worth running off to....

The Informant is getting mixed reviews, but i had high hopes for it.... Cloudy is getting good reviews, but is also definitely a kids movie.... Pandorum/Surrogates are both getting relatively negative reviews, but if you're a sci-fi buff maybe it'd still float your boat... Jennifer's body is written by Diablo Cody (Juno) and so people have said the dialogue is snappy, but overall it's another cliche teen horror movie...

also, some theater near you is playing the new Ellen Page-starring, Drew Barrymore-directed movie about roller derby, Whip It

oh, and the Whip It is actually a one-time-only (7pm) sneak peak showing (the movie comes out next friday) and they're giving away a free t-shirt if you go tonight

oh yeah we saw inglorious bastards... and at the risk of sounding like a heretic I was midly dissapointed. It wasn't the tarantino movie I had been expecting..

I was curious about whip it but it sounded like a chick movie I'd want to go with some girlfriends and not something I'd want to subjugate my boyfriend with :) But I generally love drew barrymore movies even the cheesy ones

hahaha, that's a good point, but i guess it all depends on your boyfriend. i would gladly go see it (and probably will eventually), despite it being clearly a chick movie (though not a "chick flick")

and yeah, if i had to pick anything out this weekend i'd see The Informant

Hrmm... I've got a A.A. in Design & a B.A. in Fashion Design. Sucky though that with all those degrees I've only ever had to take 1 computer graphics course. But I've learned alot through working experience. Anyways I'm currently working as an Accessory Designer in LA.

I love my cat. His name is Zelazny and he's just the sweetest kitty ever! He love people... even strangers! He love taking naps where he doesn't belong and being picked up and those little kitty treats with the crunchy outside and squishy inside. He love feather sticks and little catnip mice. He does not like dogs and other cats. He is a big bully and will try to beat them up. He will also meow until you pick him up and give him attention. :D
