It's called the "Beaver Mobile." It's made from a block of wood, super sculpey and a dash of love. I wasn't able to predrill the axle holes so one of the wheels doesn't exactly "touch the ground." But it still rolls.

I stop at the same deli in Manhattan everyday on the way to work to grab something for breakfast. Usually it's a bagel. Sometimes it's a strawberry and cheese croissant. Anyway, a few weeks ago I decided to get a cranberry muffin for the first time. I went up to the counter and before I said what I wanted, the girl said, "cranberry muffin?" I said, "yes" and was more than a little weirded out. Over the next few weeks I ordered nothing but bagels and croissants.

Today, I walked in the deli with another cranberry muffin on my mind, and sure enough, the same girl said, "cranberry muffin?" before I could open my mouth. I didn't ask questions again out of sheer bewilderment.

It's really, really bizarre.

UPDATE:

Today, I went to the deli and bought a drink. A different girl was at the register, but the Telepathic one walked up to the counter...

TELEPATHIC GIRL: No cranberry muffin today?

ME: Not today... Hey, how do you always know when I want cranberry muffins? I don't order them much.

TELEPATHIC GIRL: I just know. (big smile)

I tried not to make eye contact for too long because I was afraid she might steal my soul somehow.

These videos changed my life!

"Collateral Damage" started out as an homage to old, Disney "Silly Symphonies" cartoons of the 30's which typically feature dancing trees and carefree bunnies. The nuclear bomb was inspired by a girl who shattered my heart into a million pieces.
