i havent been here in a while, let alone purchased anything for myself since they switched to their own label of blanks (bought some for the BF, they shrank like crazy - major turn off). I was looking at some of the shirts on the front page, both new designs and reprints, and noticed they are on AA shirts. is this a new thing or a fluke? because if it is to stay, when i have some extra money to spend i will certainly feed my t shirt addiction once more.

also, when did this change happen?

I think they want back to AA for the most part.

kidn of off topic, but I read this and I thought you were puppetmeat for some weird reason, and then I was like "woah, puppet meat has a boyfriend?". I have no idea why I thought I was reading one of his blogs...

Yeah, they went back to AA. I think they sort of realized that people weren't really enjoying how inconsistent the Threadless shirts were.

I remember when AA tees started creeping back in, and I was hoping that it was actually the truth rather than just a mistake. The sleeves were particularly dire on the Threadless tees.

I emailed threadless asking about this awhile ago as I was upset that some new prints I wanted were on AA and not Threadless brand ( I prefer threadless.. I have to size up but the fit is much more bust friendly ) In anycase they told me they're printing on both brands and not going 100% either way. So if you prefer one brand over the other you just have to look at each print individually.

i dunno - for a lot of shirt sites that print on their own shirts and AA, i always seem to need a womens large even though im of a very medium build (5'4, 125 lbs). never makes any sense to me - cause in dress shirts by say express i am a small.

but anyways i am so so so glad they switched for the most part back to AA. ill be buying more shirts now, thats for sure. i have some really really old shirts from here, probably 4 years old now, that are still wearable. anyone remember that banana shirt with the batteries in it? that was my first shirt here, and i bought the first edition of it so its gotta be pretty old.

i liked the threadless brand shirts :-/

i have a couple of AA's now and they're too big. i might have to start getting a smaller size 'cause they didn't shrink.

me too brian, melikes the threadless brand better. AA seems longer for me and less softer.

thanks for this blog, did not noticed the major switch, I thought it was only AA for the greys and blacks and whites and cremes

AA is definitely longer on me. i put on an AA threadless shirt yesterday for the first time and i was like "hey, where'd the zipper on my pants go?!"

my theory is its my shoulders or something. although im kinda narrow.. but large shirts fit perfect in the shoulders, are a bit baggy in the chest (although im of decent size), and are slightly baggy through the stomach.

Well, I like AA better just because I'm tall, and the shirt seems to fit my tall frame better, I have a couple AA and one Threadless, and I'm liking the AA.

thats odd jshepp... every girly threadless brand tee I have measures a distinct 1-2 inches longer than the AA shirts I have.

I despise AA.. they're cut for pre-teen girls who're short with no boobs. We all know that the guy who owns AA is a perv for younger girls.

seems to be that way with most 'girly' t shirts from a variety of companies. they are clearly designed by men who have an idealized version of women in their head when designing for all sizes. it pisses me off to no end that im a large when i should be a medium. and in stores like express im a small in shirts or a 4 (US). same with H&M, a small or for some reason a 6 (US).

and the owner is a perv, but his other qualities like his legalize LA and legalize gay campaigns make me hate him a little less. not that it full redeems him, of course.

to be really honest, I'm not that happy with the quality of many of my Threadless shirts. My Playground Joust shirt is the only one I've ever really been happy with and it was one of the first I bought. And I do wash them right, it just doesn't seem to work out, either they seem to shrink or they're thinner than I like or something. I went back to buying XL just so they'd shrink down to the right size. I don't wear half of my shirts because they're just not comfortable anymore. :(

But I won't stop buying, I'll just buy XL!

Finally decided to look at the sizing chart . And....
for the girly tees, they do measure smaller, as you said

But for guys... they are longer

hmmmm
