It only got a 2.07. Doesn't that seem a little low? I thought the score decided on which design was printed and which wasn't. If not, how else do they judge?

every now and then a score gets accidently reversed. this actually scored a 7.02. the staff knew that and made sure to get the ball rolling

that or it was too awesome for any low score to contain

Lots of low scored shirts are printed. The score isn't the only deciding factor.

as said, the score isn't the only deciding factor, and never has threadless said that's the only deciding factor.

threadless is the deciding factor. if they want to reprint neon monkey 30 times in a row, they fucking will.

Just look at the shirt. That's why it got printed. It didn't need a fantastically high score to be evident that it was a sure print.

Its not just the average score but the distribution of scores also counts. If everybody gave an average score, perhaps not a lot of people will buy it. It seems that people either loved this design or they hated it. So that means a good number of people will still buy this.
