one of my first subs had a black pimp in it and someone left a comment saying "too black for me". i never understood that comment. if i were black then maybe but i couldn't be whiter.

I have seen at least one....

As for the too black comment, I believe the comment was "too ghetto" or something.

I have wondered the same, but I wondered if the white predisposition had them in hiding. I started to really get upset about that.

But yay for Miss Knicks, and for Jiggerlo! Go girls! Where are the rest of you???

S_W i suppose that there is a time to "represent" and we should all be proud of who we are but I think we should all just be who we are and if it's in our nature to assert a certain side of our heritage then so be it. I, for one, do not necessarily identify either way because in the family I grew up in distinctions were not generally drawn with regard to race. I'm half black but my addopted family is white. I'm a child of the seventies wih ex-hippy parents who practiced rabid inclusion of all ethnic influences. Celebrate diversity but embrace the similarities.

on a funny note...

I remember a line/theory from the movie Bullworth that I have always thought was funny but a good idea. the theory was called "Procreational racial deconstruction" which essentially means that everyone just keeps F'''king untill we're all one color...

(pardon the language lol)

Hey y'all, I didn't mean to begin a racial discussion going (well, I didn't start the blog, but...) I only meant, if there are black people here, and they feel like they can't put up photos of themselves for some reason, then there's something wrong. Pruven was commenting on the gallery pics, and I had noticed the same lack of color, and thought it strange.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

That made me remember a sci-fi short story I read long ago - can't recall the author - in which citizens of earth were prevented by law from procreating within their own race/color/etnicity; this was supposedly intended to blend the races and eliminate racial conflict, but was actually the goverment's plan to control population since they thought most people wouldn't breed under these restrictions.

Ethnicity-wise... my father always explained the fact that my one sister and I tan easily (instead of burning or freckling like the rest of our Irish/Scottish family) by the "mixture of Spanish genetics from Spanish Armada refugees shipwrecked on the Irish shores" theory, so... does "Black Irish" count? ;)

maybe this is just kind of a white thing. I dunno from personal experience this doesn't seem like a black kind of thing... kind of like cardigans aren't black things. I hope this doesn't come of as racist.
