  The only thing I would have added were some Masaai tribespeople in the background for a little social commentary on the tourist who leaves common sense at home -- but that's just me having been in that position when I lived in Salem ("Witch City USA") and people wanting to know if I was a witch so they could take a picture with me.

• 1) It was dunna415 who made the connection to Flores, and accused you of ripping off Flores.
  
  2) My initial comments assessed dunna415's accusation, which I stated was not the case after I reviewed his link and took the time to look at Flores work: "While it is easy to see the similarities with Flores' work to this submission, it isn't outright copying... " There was no need for me to expunge on the history of urban design because A) that is not my field of interest and B) it was irrelevant to the accusation that you had plagiarised (as opposed to being inspired by) Sam Flores.
  
  3) Although I should have stated "artists who employ a pure realistic style" instead of "ordinary artist," I think the point was clear that the use of the over/mis-proportioned hands and the non-pupiled eyes were not coincidental, but not plagiarism either.
  
  4) If your design did not resonate with me, I wouldn't have left a long comment -- or given it a "3" for composition and ability to interest the Threadless buying audience. Nor did I ever say that you had to be 100% original work: "I think you need to push the piece more in the terms of where inspiration leaves off and where the new artist begins."
  
  5) Threadless allows its buying audience to have input into which t-shirts are printed; there are no other requirements than registering and having the ability to express your subjective opinion either by clicking boxes or leaving comments.
  
  6) Reading comprehension and the ability to express disagreement with critique in a non-catty fashion are skills in which you may want to inquire further.

• I'd think the zombies would do the picking of the bones before I would... I simply thought I was going to see a different type of zombie design, when in fact it's another take on the Romero theme.
  
  If you've read Davis, you'd find a horn o' plenty of material to do a design upon the theme (zombies) without it being a retread of similarly designed shirts. Since you perceived my comments as hairsplitting critique, I'll refrain from posting any commentary upon your designs in the future.

• While it is easy to see the similarities with Flores' work to this submission, it isn't outright copying. However, it does seem to me that you Anglicized the nose and made the hand larger than an ordinary artist would -- yet typical features Flores employs (without the prominent nose). Also, there are a couple of Flores' illustrations which people could easily accuse you of biting (which makes the folks at Threadless unhappy when they get involved in designer fights). I think you need to push the piece more in the terms of where inspiration leaves off and where the new artist begins.

  That being said, the proportions of the shoulders seem off, and I don't see what the cigarette has to do with the sound system. However, if you tied the elements together with say, an mp3 player or album, it would make it more palatable and emphasize "music as the weapon of the future."
