Maybe he travelled into the future with the help of his wacky scientist friend and his converted time-machine delorean, purchased a sports almanac which his arch-enemy stole (along with the time-machine) and gave to his past self in 1950. This caused a temporal rip whichskewed the timeline and changed the past, and thus this guy in your bed travelled back to what he thought was his own house in his own time, but was in fact the same house belonging to a completely different family within the diverted timeline.

Just a thought!
