if something on my shirt is the same colour as the shirt then does it count as one of the colours?

cleverly incorporating the shirt colour into your design allows you to do a 5 colour design. you'd be mad not to take advantage.

yeah i'm trying to do a design right now that is using the colour of the shirt as one of the colours. my friend thinks that its breaking the rules but i told her it would be alright.
