This was the only blog of mine anyone seemed to enjoy or care much about, so it's the only one I'm restoring.

I don't understand how you get from step 4 to step 5 without ripping it.

It's almost an airplane, with some last minute changes. I like it. :)
rrich76
rrich76 on Apr 04 '06 at 11:29pm
loser beech....I did rip it to make it flat for the scanner, the idea is you fold it back on itself like that to be able to do the sleeves, but you can't actually get it that flat, nor do you have to
loserbeech
loserbeech on Apr 04 '06 at 11:32pm
Ahhhhhhh, I see.

Well my attempt turned out laughably. I would blame the fact that I'm using a £10 note instead of dollars, but my friend can do it perfectly well with our funny money. It's just me.

Yeah, mine was rough, too. It had triangular sleeves. Oh well, origami was never really my thing.

I like your money better, ours is boring
loserbeech
loserbeech on Apr 04 '06 at 11:41pm
Yeah, I like ours too. My shirt has half a hummingbird, a flower, and a ship on the front, and Darwin on the back.

I don't get what's supposed to happen between step 4 and 5.
loserbeech
loserbeech on Apr 04 '06 at 11:44pm
Ignore step 5, just go from step 4 to 6 by opening it a little bit and pulling the sleeves out, then closing it.

if anyone trying this has troubles, go to that web page I put under the picture, his instructions are better, plus you can learn to make a sweet spider

hey, that's pretty neat!

0rchid on Apr 05 '06 at 10:49am
excellent :)

works great with thai 20 baht notes too, since you end up with a group of men standing sideways along the shirt, aligned near-perfectly to the righthand side. and also the two sides of the note in step 1 have a continuing image by design, which is rather nifty.
anyway, you'll see what i mean if you have a 20 baht note!

(optional extra: the ability to tell people you can make a thai shirt for less than 30p (or just over 50 cents) without even a hint of a sweatshop)

if you run a crease up the edges that are in the middle it puts cuffs on the sleeves.

I've seen those "hidden" 20$ things before. Somehow I find myself unable to believe there's any kind of connection... call me skeptical, but I put them in the same category as newspaper horoscopes and that "money house blessing" air freshener.
