I used to be able to guess a score within .2 almost everytime, especially my own, based on comments, but taking 2 of my latest as an example, my expectations of these were completely flipped, though to be honest, even if you reversed the scores the Hybrid design still scored much better than I expected based on feedback.
Whats crazy is how similar these two were. Both had animal parts and patterns, similar inking styles, and were presented on white shirts. They also had a nearly identical amount of scores, and were scored very closely together. To be honest, I couldn't be happier with either score, im just blown away by how insanely different the scores are from what I expected. My hypothesis is that people do not write nearly as many critical comments as when I first joined. So the amount of comments is largely based on how many people feel like letting you know they like your design and is much less indicative of the overall scoring sentiment. In the old days, getting nearly 40 more positive comments (duplicate comments considered) almost always meant getting a much better score. Clearly this is no longer the case. 110 comments, 5 were mine. ![]() 74 comments, 7 were mine.
