I was just curious where everyone went?

I see that a lot of designs are finishing and only being scored 800 - 1200 times, even printed ones. A few years ago my designs were being scored by over 2,000 people.

Has threadless just whittled it down to the cream of the crop regulars? Is there still new blood being pumped into the place? Are there many newly joined members winning the contest or is it just established designers?

Hello all....I am back from a long absence and am getting back into the swing of things with new designs. I also did my first resub of an old design:



Please go vote and comment and let me know if you think this one is stronger or weaker than my last one. No big changes but I took away some of the bold lines and made it less symmetrical which I think works.

So I made a Harry potter bean to go into my bean submission, what do you think? Should I have kept him in there somewhere? I was originally going to do him instead of the crystal ball gazer, so check it out.

I was worried that at his size on the shirt you wouldn't see his scar and I didn't want to put him in robes.

So on my newest submission I had a choice between having a bubble come out of the wand or not....like so:





I decided not to, as with my single blocks of color it looked too much like a misshapen megaphone. Plus I like how clean the final image turned out.

I know ideally I should be asking these questions BEFORE submitting, but I can always resub if you think it makes a difference.

Oh, I would love votes and comments on it from all you blogging veterans as well. People who have been here awhile and even had winning designs have a lot more weight behind your words and I'm curious as to your opinions.

So in what manner are winners notified? How long after the scoring of the submission usually?

Do you get an e-mail saying "sorry you did not win, keep trying" or something to that effect?

I honestly don't think my submission will be chosen with the existence of the "nothing rhymes with orange tee" but who knows?

The score seems good to me, and it got a lot of comments.

Stranger things have happened. At least not too bad for my first submission. What do you all think?

So this got rejected by threadless and I was just curious what you guys thought. Admittedly not my best work, but I've seen worse posted up here.

Is it that poor of a design or do you think it was something else? I'm pretty sure I followed all the submission rules......oh well, I suppose I'll just keep trying with other designs.

It was a lot of encouragement for my first submission, and hopefully I will have more to follow (except they declined my second submission....grrr....)
