upon further investigation, no. it's not copywrited. the image of uncle sam as seen in the army's "We Want You" posters was oringinally drawn by james montgomery flagg in 1916, and if it was going to be copywrited, it would have to have been done then. it was not copywrted as of 1991, and therefore cannot be copywrited now.
