so i hav a creative zen right? its over a year old so its well out of its warranty, and the other day it decides to freeze up and start giving "hard disk problem"s. i was a click away from purchasing a new ipod online, when i though. hm, i wonder if anyone else has had any problems like this.
there were a couple of cases like mine on the creative forums and both had had luck fixing it by, "hitting the left side firmly against a table." i was up for anything, so i walked into my room and gave it a go...and again....once more....im not buying an ipod ;) You must be logged in to leave a comment.

I reset it, hoping that rebuilding the library would fix it. It got to 90% rebuilding it, then crapped out and tried it again. Again, got ot 90%, then froze with the message "Firmware Error" showing. It was getting warm, then hot, and I absoloutely could not turn it off, so I had to resort to opening it up and unhooking the battery.
