. pecan (the best one!)

. ice cream

. pumpkin w nuts

. pumpkin w/o nuts

. coconut creme

i've never tried pumpkin pie. it sounds freaky and wrong. i'm a huge fan of apple or cherry pie though.

what part of pumpkin pike sounds freaky?

do you have custard pies? sweet quiches?

imagine blending up a yam or sweet potato and mixing it in with the quicke? and adding cinamon and ginger and nutmeg? that's a pumpkin pie. not so scary?

we had a little wiener holiday. it was good, because i love my sister and her kids & husband, and as it was small, we got to spend a fair amount of good time with them.

ugh, i just can't stand pumpkin pie let alone the stomach turning pumpkin milkshakes....blech! marionberry pie ala mode or pecan pie and i'm a happy boy!
steve_swartz
steve_swartz on Nov 28 '05 at 12:38am
marionberries are becoming a problem. they are so profitable that migrant workers and local unemployeds are sneaking out before the season and picking them all. no seeds. no regrowth. no native american share.

whereas your pumpkin seems readily renewable.

have you tried pumpkin latte?
radiostaticstar
radiostaticstar on Nov 28 '05 at 12:45am
ah, that makes me laugh.

viva la marionberry revolucion!

not much into lattes myself, i like a grande house brew with three shots, it used to be called a dopio in the dark, not too sure what that means. since i moved i just order as i described it and i usually get an odd look or two but its worth it.
steve_swartz
steve_swartz on Nov 28 '05 at 12:51am
i just drink coffee, because i'm in it for the caffeine not the milk

dopio in the dark is what someone's looking for if they want to do it rather than talk about it, i think.

i'm out east, so i've been having grits with breakfast every day.
