...is going straight to the pool room!

The eternal struggle between buying threadless tees and eating for the rest of the week continues :(
Most of the good designs I see eusually end up getting somewhere between 1.5 - 2.5. I rarely rate good designs (well, ones that I think are good anyway) under 3. The ratings I give are generally:

$5 - Love the design, would definitely buy the shirt.
$4 - Like/love the design, may or may not buy the shirt (eg. because of colour, excessive cuteness, etc :)
4 - Like/love the design, wouldn't buy the shirt though
3 - The design is only ok, but I can appreciate the effort and skill involved.
2 - Pretty poor design but an ok idea, or vice versa
1 - Really awful design, average to awful idea
0 - Badly designed, and no decent ideas

Am I being too generous? I see a lot of other people giving out $5 so I'm guessing the averages are pulling the final scores down, but I do wonder sometimes.

I'm not likely to change my personal ratings system, I'm just curious whether other people have similar guidelines they use when voting?
Can anyone tell me how to get last.fm to update my play history? Does your profile update when you use the last.fm player, or is it only when you use a media player with the scrobbling plugin? The stuff that's showing up as my last.fm history is quite old and from a short period a while ago when I listened to some cds in windows media player and I had last.fm enabled.

I'm assuming of course that this is a fault with lastfm and not with threadless's display of my lastfm history, I could be completely wrong on that.

I is confuzzulated...
I need some new desktop wallpaper at work, and none of the 1280 x 1024 stuff on my usual source, pixel girl (www.pixelgirlpresents.com) is really ringin' my bell at the moment.

I don't really have any particular style in mind, but I'm not really after the digital blasphemy rendered landscape/abstract shape type stuff. To give you an idea, here's a link to the wallpaper I used to have:

I'd be a very happy camper if any of you lot can point me in the direction of some sites like pixel girl. I'm also interested to find any sites that might be doing 8-bit pixel art type wallpaper.
Inspired by PolyesterJones' curry recipe in the curry blog, I've decided to start a recipe blog.

Post your recipes here - it doesn't have to be your favourite necessarily, ie. it could be one you make often because it's easy and pretty tasty.

Anyway, here goes:

Pesto and Haloumi Pasta
-----------------------------------
-Block of Haloumi cheese
-Small jar (about 120ml or so) of Basil pesto
-Any pasta you want, but spirals work well
-Extra light sour cream
-Snow peas, chopped (if you want)
-Sprouts

1. Cook the pasta and put it aside.
2. Slice the haloumi as thick or as thin as you want, I find 2 to 3 mm thick works pretty well.
4. Coat the haloumi slices with oil and sprinkle some dried oregano
5. Heat a frying pan on the stove with a little oil
6. Fry the haloumi slices for about 30 secs to a minute each side
7. Add the pasta, snow peas and sprouts to the pan and mix well.
8. Add about half the jar of pesto (more if you want) and a couple of spoons of sour cream, and continue to mix until heated.
9. Serve :)
Sorry, there's no smut in this blog. I was just curious to see how many more people would read and respond if I made a blog with a suggestive title.

Warning: may take a while to load :)

Now I need to go and chew some Garry Gum and get back to work.
Damn, I'm looking forward to the new series of the Mighty Boosh. I love that show!

Here's a few songs I really like that are pretty obscure:

I want to touch you - Catherine Wheel
Tears - The Chameleons
Grimly Fiendish - The Damned

I'd love it if people could post their own lists of songs they like that aren't very well known. They don't have to be old either, I'm just interested to find some more good tunes to add to my collection :)
