A question about last.fm

Can anyone tell me how to get last.fm to update my play history? Does your profile update when you use the last.fm player, or is it only when you use a media player with the scrobbling plugin? The stuff that's showing up as my last.fm history is quite old and from a short period a while ago when I listened to some cds in windows media player and I had last.fm enabled.

I'm assuming of course that this is a fault with lastfm and not with threadless's display of my lastfm history, I could be completely wrong on that.

it should update with everything you play, as long as the song is played through a supported player, such as winamp or windows media player. scrobbling is when it records, or keeps track of the songs.

note too that the player has to be active in order to scrobble.

Yeah, but does it do it with the actual last.fm player? That's what I've been using but yet my history (on my threadless profile) is still showing stuff from ages ago.

it takes awhile for what i'm playing to appear in my threadless profile. i've noticed that if i'm a track or two into a cd and i go to my threadless profile it will update what i've listened to up to that point. then say if within the span of two hours i listen to two more discs, that information won't show up in my threadless profile for awhile, strange updating i dunno...

yeah, the player itself records what you listen to... about the play list in your threadless profile - that is like radiostaticstar said, not always up-to-date. if you go to your last fm profile - that should be updated.

the reason why the threadless last fm playlist is not always up-to-date is because it probably uses some algorism and only refreshes once in a while. it'd be too many hits to the website if it updated everyone's playlist constantly.
