I like me some good old hockey...New Jersey's my favourite US team and Ottawa's my favourite Canadian team (even though they choke every year in the playoffs, ha)

I'm a Penguins fan. I was really into it when I played, then the lockout happened and I haven't gotten back into following it as religiously.

the flyers were a really weak team last year, but they're making a slow comeback. they beat my boys 8-2 in their first game, which was a bit embarassing.



in all honesty, i don't mind the bruins. they're well established and they're a solid team.

Crosby won't be the next Gretzky, and he's much better than Pavel Bure. I would say Crosby is Jagr (in his prime), which is still incredible.



Right now, Crosby is not even the best player in the NHL. He's a tad below Lecavalier.

i LOVE hockey!!!!! in fact, i just got back from a game an hour and a half ago. the Blues are my favorite team - i love them - but i appreciate all of the NHL teams (except the red wings. i detest them; but only in a hockey rivalry sense. ultimately i still have a level of respect for them because they too are a part of the family/brotherhood of hockey. but they are one of those teams you love to hate.)

of course i like all of the Blues but, Stempniak, Kariya, Boyes are some of my favorites. as for players from other teams, i like Guerin, Sakic, Lecavelier, Brodeur, St. Louis, Joe Thornton to name a few.

I'm stuck on the prairies where we don't have a team of our own...so if I had to choose a team it would likely be one of the Alberta ones. However, I generally throw my support behind whatever Canadian team has the strongest playoff showing.



Back when I played hockey and collected hockey cards...around grade 6....I was quite the Red Wings fan, and especially an Yzerman fan.

the canucks also have a nice selection of eye-candy in the form of taylor pyatt, brendan morrison and mattias ohlund.



i'm trying to get into the blackhawks, though.

sorry, kiLLyou, but taylor pyatt is the pretty. doesn't hurt that he scored the canucks one goal against the av's tonight and also won our game in the fourth round of a shoot-out against the coyotes last night.

One time after a game between the flames and the canucks (where the canucks won) we took the ctrain home and the entire train was packed with piss drunk flames fans. One of them, we called him the "leader" was running up and down the cars (while the train was moving) chanting things braveheart style and before we knew it the "mob" was chanting Fucking Canucks. It became so loud that the ctrain driver stopped the train, told every one to sthu on the intercom or else he'd call the cops. That worked for like 4 minutes until the leader was back at it. lol.





I am a big hockey fan but unlike the drunken savages of my city I hate the flames. I'm an Avalanche fan (I used to goto Nordique games when I was little when visiting my grandparents) My favourite players were Joe Sakic and Claude Lemieux (A family friend lol)

I live in Toronto...and the LEAFS are crap. I don't understand why the ticket prices are sooo high for such a crap team. I've never seen a hockey game in Toronto because of it.

Magnamoth, I hate the flames almost as much as I hate the leafs. They're a big group of talentless bullies who have relied on rough-housing in order to get anywhere in the standings. I realize that's a bit hypocritical since the Canucks are one of the most violent teams in the league, but I like to think we've got the talent to back it up with. Especially since we called Martin Raymond and Jason Jaffray up from Manitoba a couple of weeks ago.



Canucks tickets are stupid expensive, but there's nothing better than going to a game. I get excited as soon as the intro starts!
