I'm looking at getting back into skating and I would like an amazing design for the deck, any recommendations?

There were a lot of great designs that I saw today! I was at one of the local skate shops here in SLC and there were some really good ones. The only problem is, they get all scratched off when you skate! I prefer a good design on a snowboard!

Cheers mate!

Yeah, your deck is bound to get pretty beat up, but I can see the aesthetic value of having a sweet design on it.

I wish I had some suggestions but I'm more into longboards than shortboards.

What's the point of skateboarding if you DON'T grind and slide A LOT ??? I guess if all you do is ride around and just ollie and flip it a little bit and cary it around mostly then yeah, but I don't see the point in doing that.

Real has some really good decks and Listen Skateboards. My buddy does a lot of the art for Listen, so I'm kinda bias.

Also look for anything that Marc Mckee might have out, especially reissues, but I don't know of any right now

Stinger has a deck on this site but I think they are more for wall decorations.

fashion over function?
are you looking to skate-skate? or just use it as transportation?

I've only ever used plain decks. The extra expense for nice graphics is totally a waste in my opinion. How often do you or anyone else look at the bottom of your skateboard?

not to mention you should be scraping the shit out of the bottom anyways!

I saw a bunch of nice ones this summer when I got my new board. They're all pretty expensive considering even if you just ride around they still get scratched.

I spent $50 just for my new deck, but I don't plan on getting a new board for a very long time, so it was worth it to me.

... a deck designed to help raise money for the Paine's Park Project in Philly.

Leanne Biank has some other really nice work up here too.

Toy machine decks are awesome. Ed templeton's art is soooo good.
creature decks are good too.
Heroin graphics are pretty good too, like French's art which is waaaaay too dark for me, but still very skillful
