Got my shirts in the mail today. Girly Ts are definitely a bit smaller than the AA. :(

The cut is pretty nice though, and the material is soft, so I guess that's good.

oh no... I hope they don't shrink as much then. I usually like the size of the girly small when it's shrunk a little but I like the length of a medium. I'm always torn when ordering...

Definitely yikes. This is the shirt I decided to try a smaller size on to see if I liked the fit better. Now I'm scared

Really shitty quick pic, I have to go to work.

Green is Never Gonna Give you up select T
Yellow is a regular large AA

Both unwashed.

You say it's softer? Is it thin? I hate that thin material.

They should be slimmer and longer!

Wide and short looks shitty on 95% of people.

that sucks. i was barely making it into the girly XL, so i'm guessing with the new shirts i'm out of luck. hopefully the guys shirts will be more like AA than FOTL so i will be able to wear those.... boo :(

Westwood
Westwood on Nov 29 '06 at 2:10pm
Don't get me wrong the shirt is really nice, but I think I'm definitely going up a size. :( Maybe it will fit differently for other people. The XL fits really well, the cut is nice and it does seem longer, but then again I usually wear a L. I'm fairly positive the large will be pretty much skin tight once I wash it.

All of the shirts in the pic are a large.

And yes it is thin material like AA...but more...clingy/stretchy? I don't know.

I'm a Girly M with AA so I wonder if I should up a size too...
Westwood
Westwood on Nov 29 '06 at 2:40pm
I ordered a L and an XL to be safe, glad I did. I'm not one for super tight shirts though, so maybe some people will prefer it.

I'm really hoping that the new tees are stretchy. The AA Girly M tees fit me perfectly, but if they're smaller...damn... =(
jessifuzaki
jessifuzaki on Nov 29 '06 at 3:31pm
Same here, the AA shirts fit me perfectly and I was worried because they are a lot shorter and there is no doubt they would shrink. But the L is a bit wider and I like shirts to fit snuggly..

Ughhhh.

medium mens size is usually a tad larger then here in europe, so I guess the new tees are perfect!!

it looks like it's more fitted around the waist though... that's a plus
margolove
margolove on Nov 29 '06 at 4:38pm
yeah! I started buying larges because I didn't want bellyshirts, but the tenting around the waist really annoys me.
Westwood
Westwood on Nov 29 '06 at 4:57pm
This is a large, unwashed I Heart Threadless shirt against a large AA that has been washed a whole bunch of times. It's basically the same size although cut a bit differently. You can see where I turned up the corner that it's a bit shorter than the AA.

XL I Heart Threadless vs. washed AA large.
The AA shirt I compared to has side seams too, not sure if that makes a huge difference or not.

The XL is a really nice fitting shirt, sucks balls to go up a size, but eh. whatever.
francisorme
francisorme on Nov 30 '06 at 10:39am
goddamn. i'm one of those people who gets small because i want a tight fit... but that might be a teeny bit too tight. especially if they got shorter. oh well. haha but i guess that will be good for girls who are ACTUALLY small...

oh mans, now i'm super nervous. I wear Girly XL and i don't put mine in the dryer...

some of my AA's fit really nice like Damn Scientists, its more than an inch longer than most of my others. i was hoping they would be a little on the longer side
sonmi
   sonmi on Nov 30 '06 at 11:38am
yeah there are a few AAs that are longer due to inconsistency, like lime colors. threadless should print their new shirts with that kind of length!
Westwood
Westwood on Nov 30 '06 at 11:38am
I don't dry any of mine either. I wish they would make the length like the AA select shirts...

weird. my medium is actually way too big, and usually the regular mediums fit me pretty good.

:( That stinks... I was already a L and that is way bigger than T-shirts I get anywhere else. Now I have to get XL crappy!
melhel86
melhel86 on Dec 05 '06 at 10:18am
I got mine last night and though the fabric is nice and the way the shirt flares for your hips is an improvement. The small is now too small for me, and I am not a big person. It's too short and a little too tight in the chest and around the waist. Looks like I'm bumping up to a medium.

I have small boobs, small waist and I'm extremely short. This may be a problem...
pyr4lis
pyr4lis on Dec 05 '06 at 11:26am
Those photos make me really sad. I will not be buying threadless anymore unless they go longer. AA's barely hit the top waistband of my jeans (And I don't wear them really low). If these new ones stay shorter I'm screwed.

My only hope though is that in another blog Ross said the new shirt size is NOT set in stone and that they're adjusting it based on feedback. SO everyone who wants longer girly shirts needs to make it known!!
Ueno
Ueno on Dec 05 '06 at 11:30am
you guys are worrying that youre bumping up a size..

what about girls who could only wear XL?? *cries* T_T
