Anyone use an xbox controller with a PC?
So maybe this is is a stupid question...but has anyone used an xbox 360 controller for a PC game? I hate using the mouse...it says on the packaging it's compatible, but I'd rather not blow $40 if it doesn't work.

hhmm, not sure, but as XBOX are made by microsoft and I think the controller connects with a USB like interface it might do, if it says it's compatible on the box then if it doesn't work you can always take it back and get a refund saying it does not do what it claims.

I like the 360 controller...the mouse is so weird for gaming I think.

The mouse is the supreme champion of game controllers. You just need to get used to it. Incidentally, the xbox controller is officially the worst gamepad ever designed.

Well...it doesn't work well for the game I play. It's really awkward and hard to turn because the camera doesn't follow automatically sometimes.

I guess I'll try it out at least. It has that evil packaging that will be completely destroyed once I open it, so hopefully it works.

mouse and keyboard is ideal for playing games, no one should ever want to use an xbox controller on a pc

It works great. I had to write a custom driver for my mac, but it is great.
