Ok, just got an iBook, actually should be getting it tomorrow from FedEx guy and now I’m looking for a vectoring program. I just shelled out $1600 for the iBook and can’t swing the $500 for Adobe Illustrator CS2. Any cheap but useable drawing programs for the Mac?

I've always used Win-doze but just made the jump to Apple with the purchase of an iBook. Wanted to see what everyone used.

so i come back to work from taking a nap - been up all night in a heated debate (bet you know with who, whom?) - only to find that my boss was stirring up a fuss here.

she and i have been going round and round about that shirt. at one point i thought i'd actually lost my job - over a TEE SHIRT! And i didn't even draw it!

i just want everyone to know that everything is cool - not just with my job, but with my boss too. a couple of years ago i did some illustrations for a book. it was a horror book and the pics were pretty - oh hell, they were down right gross. when the book went on sale i found myself in a legal pickle. my pics were deemed "obscene” by a local statute. Sarah the owner of the local art gallery (aka lucylove) was the only one that stood up for me. we didn’t even know each other at the time and she was willing to risk everything she had to fight for me. that’s how I met her. she is a tough lady.

when i pointed out that bonedaddy’s shirt would be protected by the first amendment regardless of it’s message, she actually stopped dead in her tracks. i believe this is the first argument i have ever won with her.

bonedaddy, i am truly sorry all this dropped on you. maybe if I hadn’t been talking about this site so much Sarah never would have seen it. i know you didn’t mean it the way she took it, but i also know she is a passionate lady that follows her beliefs. God I hope we’re cool.

Threadless.com Submission - Suicidal ninja schoolgirl panda with a robotic duc

Anyone ever notice that on the last day your shirt is posted that right near the end there is sudden flurry of voting? And with this voting comes negative postings, sometimes the only negative postings on not just your shirt but most everyone’s shirt. AND these postings are always done by people that either a) has never submitted a design b) has a hidden profile or c) joined the site in the past couple of days - it’s usually one of the latter two. Doesn’t that seem a little…suspicious?

Maybe I’m the only one with OCD, but I am constantly watching my shirt as well as the ones I am hoping will win. I even do it when I don’t have a shirt in the running. It happens every single time. I’m not suggesting that Threadless “evens up” the scores or anything - actually I’m sure that they don’t as they have printed shirts with lower scores and scoring only plays a small part in their decision making anyway. Is it possible that some are rushing to make new screen names in an attempt to influence the final score? If that’s the reason 30 or 40 straight zero’s only drops an average by about .2 Or is it cowards that are too afraid to post their opinions early for fear that others will attack them? I don’t know, but I wondered if anyone else noticed this trend.
