can you bump into her in person? after this long she's probably built up too many nerves to contact you so you need to just blunder in all "hey, i was just in the area, how's it going?"
then she has a chance to relax and be reassured and admit she lost your number or whatever.

She knows her own number, that's just absurd. But it's not necessarily bad she didn't give it to you, she might just want to be in control of the situation so she gets to decide when to call you and on her terms. Maybe guys call her too soon and too often after dates - I know I do - and she thinks it's weird. So she probably doesn't want you showing up at the bookshop.

I haven't been following this thoroughly but where did you leave it? What was the last point of contact?

you don't even have to talk to her. just go in there looking for a book and see what kind of reception you get. you could even order a book so she has to call when it comes in. if someone else calls then maybe that's a sign she's avoiding it, but if she's happy to see you then you can relax and wait for her to get in touch.

the last time i saw her was friday when i gave her my number asked her if she wanted to go for a drink? and said "give me a text sometime" and walked out the door and nearly vomited.

Leon = full of good advice. Also, I can't speak for the girl, but when I was in dating mode I appreciated it when the guy took the time to contact me first, so maybe she's just waiting for you?

to be honest, I'm not sure you should hold your breath anymore.

I'm in a similar situation where she's shown a few signs that she likes me more than just a friend but more recently it's been nothing.
