where do you buy your blank shirts?

I see people recommending american apparel, hanes, fruit of the loom... yadda.

what do you use?

inquiring minds want to know.

if this has been asked a million times, just yell at me.

It depends on your press. Process printing, or screen print, can be done on a 50% cotton 50% polyester blend. Most hot iron presses require 100% cotton.

I press all designs requiring white shirts on Jockey brand shirts, and all other colours American Apparel. Both are moderately priced if you plan on printing small amounts below 100.

I try to use American Apparel when I can afford it, but you have to buy it in large quantities to get a discount. I used Port and Comp shirts, but they were pretty crappy (you get what you pay for I suppose) Hanes are usually a good one to fall back on, fairly cheap, decent quality. But if you can afford American Apparel I recommend that, at least if you plan on selling them, you can mark it up a lot more.

I dont really plan on selling them... just making some for myself, and maybe a few for my friends.

I'm a skinny dude, so I wanted something cut and fitted well.

guess I'll try to shell out the dough for american apparel...

I'm looking for hoodies and whatnot too, but theirs seem to be pretty damn pricey. oh well, you get what you pay for I guess.

As long as they don't use sweatshops I'm good.

If I worked in a sweatshop, I would write little notes on the clothes. It would be funny if you looked in your Nike shoe one day, and it said, "Help me!" on the sole....

josh, I'd write to Nike and tell them to shuddup. I had one pair of Airwalks that exploded after a few weeks, so the sweatshops should really raise the level of quality.

But anyways, back to the question, depends on what's at the stock in the shop I happen to visit. Recently Looms were on bargain discount and got a stack of different colours cheaply.
