I've been here over 4 years now, I've seen styles and techniques shift and change and subjects come and go through the shirts printed here, yet one type of design has stood the test of time - the pun. But even more specifically, visual representations of well known collocations.

Examples include Traffic Jam, Dandy Lions, Pie Chart, Food Fight, Communist Party etc. It seems to me that if one can come up with even a half decent idea and pull off the execution for a collocative coupling, then you significantly increase your chances of getting printed. Discuss.

i see your point, but wonder how many more punny designs have tanked.

I've got no idea how people score. I've got two being scored at the moment. I was really pleased with one of them. I'm not a designer, but i thought it really worked, y'know? The other design was some random rubbish that i spent a few hours on. Yet the random one seems much prefered by everyone. It confuses me

good idea is half the battle won. good pun is often good idea. but not all puns are good and not all good ideas are puns.

What I'm trying to say here is,.....erh.. I don't know, really.
