I don't have a 36o or ps3, but my pc handles modern warfare 1 on highest settings.. so I guess it'll be able to handle part 2 well enough too :)

PC is the way to go bro. It is flexible, has more longevity than any console, has a wider range of games, and can grow with the gaming world.

But, this is a discussion for another time.

Dedicated servers are servers hosted by individuals or groups. This allows for a single server to exist at the same IP address all the time. This is good news if you like playing with a similar group of people, or like to play in a certain type of environment.

Overall, it allows there to be admins, who have control over the game through the server, and for there to be clans, groups of people who help maintain and keep order in the server.

MW1 had these. MW2 does not.

:S all online games I played had that. So clans can no longer have their own servers? And it's no longer possible to play for example on a sniper only server?

Exactly, in effect, there are no more user-operated servers, everything will be run by IW.net.

There will be no clan-gaming in mw2, nor any specialty servers or admins.

Alot of PC'ers are not happy about this. I am one. The game is sure to be excellent, but I have no idea what possessed them to ruin its re-playability like this.

Yeah I just read something about this.. I think it's pretty sad.. since I always have some favorite servers where I play against the same people.. with the same mods.. And there always are people playing of different classes, which makes the game very variable... when everyone with the same class or numer of kills will be thrown in the same map.. I don't know.. I think it'll get boring quicker.

I got an email from Play.com thanking me for my order and saying that they would not be sending COD MW2 via Royal Mail because of the postal strike and they will use a different courier to ensure that it arrives on the day of release.

I want it the day before!

They should know - if I don't get it the day before, I'm buying a copy at Asda at midnight and sending their 'late' one back.

I reckon almost certainly it beats U2. I think it's funny that we've had all these multiplayer spoilers, yet nothing about the single player campaign. I'm not complaining, because I'd rather it wasn't ruined, just thought it odd.

I'm pretty sure it will probably beat U2 because not only does it have the potentially killer campaign, but I mean, multiplayer, jeeze the multiplayer looks so tight.

you can say that again...I'm quite confident MW2 multiplayer will be the most addictive game ever created....I mean I thought COD4 was practically perfect, but the addition of 12 other killstreaks, callsigns, accolades, a new perk system and the absurd number of challenges will really polish it off.

Psyched doesn't even cover it.

So yeah, tomorrow, tomorrow I'll be picking this up. Uh huh

Called my local Gamestop about the breaking of street date thing. He said some regions got permission, mostly North-Eastern states, to sell them to those who had already pre-ordered it.
