This test doesnt record intelligence, its far from accruate and I'll explain why.

Most of its test are based on a persons ability to recognise patterns and memory, but this doesnt have a whole great deal to do with intelligence.

I'm a fair smart guy, I mean I'm at university so that counts for something right?

but according to this test I'm an idiot, I got a score of 100 and that was mainly from guessing.

The reason I did so badly is because I have learning difficulties that make that sort of memory test extremely difficult, I find it very hard to recognise patterns and my number rentention level is lower than average (a normal person can recall about six numbers I can recall three).

If I have a disability that makes those things difficult then that really doesnt reflect my level of intelligence.

As for the question and answer section, how in the hell is that an indication of intelligence?

The last time I studied maths and science I as 15, I have no knowledge base in that area so there was no way I was going to score high. If the questions had been about film, photography and litterature I would of done alot better.

Unfortunatly this type of test is pretty much standard within the pychological communites despite the well known fact that its un reliable.

This test is probably based on the wechsler intelligence scale but the more reliable test is the ravens progressive matrices.

Internet IQ tests are totally irrelevant, and even if they managed to measure what they intend to measure, the concept of an intelligence quotient is so hilariously Ellis Island that it doesn't matter at all. AND this is coming from someone who loves both quantifying everything AND feeling superior, so IQ tests would totally be right up my ally if they weren't so full of shit.

Having a decent vocabulary is pretty pretentious of me, I'll admit.

When I was about 12/13 I filled in a very easy mensa puzzle in the newspaper one afternoon and sent it off to them. They sent me back a certificate and an IQ test booklet. I filled it in and then realised I had to pay them £10 to get it marked. Fuck that, I could be spending the cash on sweets. My dad told me I was already smarter than them.

on our state iq test that i took for our school i got 149. i think like 130+ was genius and im like fuck that im not a genius.
