Mitch told me to make an update blog. So that's what i'mma do. 'Cause it's been longer than awhile since I've done any blogging.

Hey ya'all. Hey.

I will now explain in pictures what my life is currently like for you:

In short, this is what I look like most of the time

and this is how I feel most of the time

now blog in here about whatever you want.
Hey guys. It's been awhile.

What's up.

I miss you.

I MISS YOU SO MUCH.

If you do and I'd be able to get it from you, that'd be real horrorshow cool.

if not, that's cool too, so hello.
Lately I have been really interested in just the entire idea of hipsters. What are they? How do you define one? Is hipster culture a bad or good thing? Do you consider yourself a hipster?

It's really hard for me personally to say how I would define a hipster since the whole idea of being hipster seems to be perpetually amorphous. Nevertheless, I think there are a few things that are indicative of hipster culture, such as fashion preferences, music taste, diet and, perhaps most importantly, attitude and perspective. I was reading a couple articles just now about the concepts of "hipster racism" and "hipster gentrification", which basically discuss the ideas of making ironic racist comments which are intended to be humorous due to the commentator's mockery of racism itself, and the idea of hipsters sprawling to more and more "non-hipster" cities and locales to accumulate more cultural experience and get away from other hipsters. There is also a comment under one of those articles someone made, I can't remember their username, but I think is very true: many hipsters do not admit to being hipster because, in essence, hipster culture itself is based on denial.

The articles are very interesting, albeit a bit long, but here they are:

Never Admit To Being A Hipster

Hipster Racism

Anyway, I'd probably label myself, most of my friends and most of the users I know and love here on Threadless as hipsters, but I'm curious to hear what you guys have to say about it.
and you could only take 4-5 of the following movies with you, which ones would you take? In order of priority, if possible:

The Thing

Big Trouble in Little China

2001: A Space Odyssey

Akira Kurosawa's Dreams

Eyes Wide Shut

The Fifth Element

Synecdoche, NY

The Shining

Tekkon Kinkreet

The Blues Brothers

Alien

A Clockwork Orange

Waterworld

Up

Starship Troopers

Also feel free to suggest your own you would take!
This blog is about how haya is amazing. Because she is, and you should all know this, and I'm sure you all do. But in case you don't, here is YET MORE EVIDENCE to PROVE how amazing haya is.

Haya sent me this package in the mail with this really cool stuff inside

a personal handwritten card to me with a cool vintage photo of some plant or something I don't know on the cover

This was the envelope that the card came in, which I honestly think is just as awesome if not more so than the card itself. It is a portrait of me, feeling good man.

This. This is a haya original, dudes. Some of you may remember this being posted in one of her blogs before as she was debating to submit it or not. I think it is quite amazing.

And then the grand finale:

This is my own personal sock monster friend and I love everything about it. I have known haya makes sockdudes for people for quite some time and I dreamed of the day I would one day be a recipient of one of these glorious creatures, and my friends, that day is finally upon me. And it is so much more glorious than I could have imagined.

Thank you haya, because you are pretty much the awesome.

This is the blog where you post your desktop wallpapers, because you people are cool and you have cool desktop wallpapers, so I'd like to view them.

Here is what mine was, but it just changed because it changes every hour.

Sup dudes! In case anyone is curious, after about a month and a half I won’t be around a whole lot for the next couple years since my new home will be the beautiful country of Namibia, and from my understanding the internet doesn’t work that great in most places over there. I'm hardly leaving Threadless though, so this isn't a goodbye blog at all. I will try to pop in every month or so if I can, but if I don’t seeya guys around for awhile after that, I just want you to know I love all you dudes/dudettes for serious!

This means I’m gonna miss the next few meetups which I am honestly really really bummed about more than I can possibly explain in words, but hopefully I can catch you guys in 2013! If the world isn’t over yet.

:D!

And because I haven’t said it enough, you guys are special. You all got the touch, bros.

So I come home from an incredibly long and not all that pleasant day yesterday, and what do I see sitting on my counter to make all those mediocre feelings get pleasantly washed away?

Heroin!

Not really. But there was a birthday present package from none other than Jeffrey G. himself! Many of you may already know this but for those that don't, this guy, what can I say. Really. He's basically the sexiest lady alive. This was inside:

The first 3 issues of Y the Last Man and a note pad! Holy Dooly! It's no secret that I love me some comics, but I was hesitant to get into this series for fear of becoming so addicted that I would want to buy them all and have no more money left. Now I don't have to worry about that anymore because after reading these it's gonna happen whether I want it to or not! Thanks JeffreyG for making me futurebroke!

Seriously though, juffD, you're my bro forever. I love you man.
So this really cool dudefriend of mine has his own screenprinting studio in his basement called Mousesaw, and he makes some pretty kickass stuff. About a year ago he invited me to work on designing a pair of end tables with him, and just this weekend we finally finished them up and shot photos. It was the most time and effort I've ever put into a project by far, but they turned out pretty awesome I think. The tops of the tables also light up, but I wasn't able to get photos of that yet since I shot these during the daytime!

Check 'em out!

This is my table:

And this is the one my friend made:
