So there are too many people with retarded comments taking over this shirt.

You know the kind we all hate where someone says, "Change the color of this, this, this, this and this and I'll buy it."

And it's a great design and thought it needed some "blogger addict" lovin...er voting.

the illsutration on that is amazing, its not something I'd wear personally, but I can definately appreciate the skill that went into making the image.

i liked your last sub with the retro girl and the berries. i wanted THAT on a tee, no doubt.

the illustration is amazing... his work is great! See, and I would wear it on a shirt... cause why not?

and thanks, but no notification yet that i have extra money in my wallet... so not getting printed this week :) (and it scored in too low to get printed)

I gave it a 4. Wouldn't buy it but it's a great illustration.

What's wrong with saying "Change the color of this, this, this, this and this and I'll buy it." ?

Well take for instance the one comment on that shirt... "Change the color of the drool and the motion lines and i'd buy it."

Now honestly... why would one do that?

I can understand if the colors of something are detracting from the design as a whole... but that illustraion is flawless.

Sometimes there is a call for that kind of thing, but I guess my comment was more aimed at those types of comments, when they are just typed out cause people have to have something to say.

that's what you get when you join a free club. Everybody else wants to join as well even if they're incredibly stupid

I understand what you're saying. There are some stupid and really pointless comments. But at the end of the day, the comments form is there for people to leave feedback. I don't think the one you highlighted is an example of a "retarded comment". They're just pointing out how the shirt could be improved according to their tastes. I'm with you in that the illustration needs no improvements really, but hey, different strokes for different folks and all that.

steverthegreat-- yeah I totally know that, hense me posting here so it gets some love! I am sure the designer of the shirt knows that as well. I wasn't complaining that those types of comments should be abolished... cause that will never happen, just that the super cool of the blog forum should go vote :)

bramish-i know that it is their opinion... and they are of course entitled to it. But in turn, I am also allowed to disagree and think that it is a retarded idea. Beauty of agency I guess.

xiv- what part of that makes you think it doesn't work as a tshirt? is there a criteria now for shirts that I am missing? (not picking a fight, im just curious as to your thoughts on the issue)

I don't think my comment was stupid - bees DO have stingers on their bums!

i dont like the way the design looks on a t-shirt. this IS a t-shirt design site. A design either looks good, or it doesnt. If i wouldnt spend $15.00 on it, for myself or someone else, it recieves a zero regardless of how well it is illustrated.

yes... bee's do have stingers on their bums, and your comment atleast had a little humor to it.

But bee's also don't have major drool, super sharp teeth (do they have teeth at all)gloved hands, waffle wings and don't look like they have been stealing little johny's crack pipe either.

That is obviously just an illustration of a creature that happens to be bee like. Who says it has to be anatomically correct? No one told HellBoy he had to look more like a real boy? Or Batman he had to look more like a bat?

So if you wouldn't buy the shirt xiv.... then you give it a zero? There is no middle ground for you?

Sarah, I think maybe you're taking this too hard. I still gave the illustration a decent score and really, many submissions get a lot more flack than yours is getting ;)

use to be, but why should i give a design anything less then a zero unless i would purchase it? We vote on shirts that we would like to see printed and would buy for ourselves or for friends/family.

1) it's not my submission... i just happen to think its fabulous, and since it's a proven fact that shirts do better scoring wise then they are blogged about, i thought i would pimp it.

2)I'm glad you gave it a good score....i was unaware of that since it wasn't in your comment.

its not that i am taking it hard, i just think alot of great designs/illustrations get wasted on this site.

I actually gave this design a good score:)

sarahrae on Nov 14 '05 at 9:52am
xiv- you can set your own scoring criteria... that's cool. I used to do the same thing. Hense my average score given.

But I did recently alter my own personal criteria because there is an obvious division among entries when it comes to quality. At first i thought i wa doing my part in keeping bad shirts from bing prined... but the more i thought about it, i though about my own designs and how i would want people to score them..even if they wouldnt wear it.

i was just curious to your thinkin..thats all!
