Alright kids... I need some help.

I have been working with a few color choices for my next submission, and I was looking to get some feedback for it.

Was also checking to see if this type of design is something that anyone is interested in. (I tend to like odd things, so I thought it safe to check since there aren't any submissions out there like this)

So gimmie some feedback (and Ben and Jerry's ice cream, cause I could go for some right now!)

I like the blue one, but somehow the whole design reminds me of Third Reich's Strength Thru Joy campaigns, it's not your fault, I'm a demented wreck I confess.

haha, no alot of those old posters were totally rad, I'll take it as a compliment I think.

I was trying to decide if it needs text or not?

Something like, "Little Sally discovers Death Metal."

I dunno...just thinkin....

the brown fits the design.... kinda of a vintage look.

alot of the clothes and just about everything else in the 60's/70's had brown and other earth tones in it. if your going for that type of look (which i assume you are, due to there being a record player, and the style of clothes the kids are wearing in the design)...id say submit it on brown.

It should definitely be about playing it backwards, like Slayer's Hell Awaits, if you play the intro backwards it says Join Us Join Us, so definitely go for the satanic solution here.

Immaculate souls for damnation here, ha.

Proper Evil Dead spirit needed in here for the finishing touch.

give the toddler a death metal shirt. the older girl a lip piercing and the little boy one of those huge ass black metal arm things... with all the spikes in it.

Although the thought of drawing the boy with spikes made me giggle more than it should!

I'm not a fan of the box behind the group. I like the design on Chocolate the best. The fingers on the baby's left hand look very strange and almost like she is throwing the West Side Gang sign.

An idea on about the color box behind the group: This might make it too cluttered but what if you tried a plaid pattern instead of the solid color. To help fix the cluttered feeling this might cause, then remove the stripes from the boy's shirt. I think a pattern in that shape may give more purpose to it.

Overall, I love the feeling that you have created with the illustration.

the box was added so the design was grounded to something... adding the plaid... makes me nervous, ill give it a whirl, but the whole idea of designs from that era was to have them be super super simple. Do you think it will make your head spin?

The fingers gave me hassle on all the kids. Illustrations from that time period didn't close the fingers since they were usually just done with brush and then one color overlay that was usually off register. I tried them with round fingers and they just looked like sausages, but open like that they look like alien gang members. *sigh* Is there a middle ground?

Just take out the stars to post, and make sure and change the website that you are hosting it from, and add a title if you wish, if you dont just leave the space between those quotes blank.
