Hey everyone < 3

Hope you're doing better than me. I'm all sniffly and sorethroaty; I think it's a cold :(

Any home remedies I should try? I don't like being sick.

*sniffle*

do a triple backflip in the middle of a head-stand on top of a three-and-a-half story building, whilst singing the theme song to the skinnycorp podcast, and thinking about creme-filled torts.

works every time

awh, hope you feel better.

Gargle with strong saltwater? Sometimes that helps for sore throats.

actually, scotch feels really nice on a sore throat.

lots of herbal tea (lemon or mint or something) with honey.

I'm sick too. Plenty of water and sleep, that's what I'm doing.

I went to WebMD and they said don't drink tea because it absorbs fluids? or something like that. Because when you have a cold, you're supposed to drink a lot. That confused me.

Tea, coffee, coke, alcohol make you lose liquid, mainly by making you pee more. Water is always your best bet.

they might be talking about caffeinated tee. I think caffeine can dehydrate you more quickly.

rose (and kidaro) - that's only the case for tea with caffeine. that's why i recommended herbal teas (or as they're called elsewhere, herbal infusions). no caffeine.

besides, i was sick (just getting over it) and the doctor recommended steamy, non-caffeinated drinks.

fill a large bowl with very hot water, then lean over the bowl with a towel over your head so that the steam doesn't get out. if you want, add some essential oils. then simply inhale the steam for a few minutes. works wonders.
