which poses the question, has anyone else ever seen a threadless design as a tattoo? (cos i know i often think, dang, sold out? i know i'll just tattoo it on my chest instead! )
They say never judge by a cover, but when it comes to albums I can’t help it...
My love of album art is probably half the reason I chose to be a designer, it's also probably why I’m the only person I know with a cd collection arranged by the colour of their spines. So if your anything like me and love your artwork 12 x 12, post up a pic of your favourite.
PC or Mac?
I ask because, after 5 years of loyalty to my imac G5, it's become apparent it's time for an update (ie the price to fix it after it crapped itself a fortnight ago, equals roughly the price of a new entry level imac) so the burning question, stick to mac's or go back to PC's, and if a mac, is it worth the extra 3 grand to get a mac pro? I'm especially interested to hear of anyone who uses a mac pro/power mac - and whether they thought the investment was worth it, as apposed to just getting another imac which will inevitably need to be replaced in another 5 years...
 I'd love some feedback on this - if its the kind of thing threadless kids go for these days and any suggestions on the design itself. Be harsh - i'm not happy with it yet and need some suggestions on how to get it to really pop. :D Gilly
cos apparently im a part of it... i don't get it - is it for special kids with learning difficulties?
:o A friend of mine is there and said he saw it with his own two eyes, im flying down tomorrow for NYE so i shall see myself if it exist and bring back photo evidence... and probably a truckload of shirts...but has anyone else been or is it just an official re-seller of threadless shirts, or maybe a horrible rip-off store, in which case i'll abuse the shopkeep :P (so many dodgy rip off's at Homebake this year - make me angy - but there was sunnyboys!)
...But i have no idea what to draw, and i feel uninspired and depressed
(i did'nt get a job i really wanted, and my ex has met someone who's 'everything he's looking for in a gf' and not me. rejected twice in one day! go me!) forget the depressed part, i need some inspiration! inspire me people!
...i might try my luck at selling some poster prints at Thumb Tack Press, although the standard of work seems very high there, im not sure im good enough!
so my question(s) to you - would you actually pay good money to own a print of mine? (some examples of my work are below) have you ever sold prints at thumbtack press before?   
cos i was asked in an interview how many of my shirts were produced and had no idea! hehe
As a recently graduated (with distinction thankyou very much) graphic designer I, like many new graduates, am currently looking for employment in a design studio in Sydney (western Sydney preferably).
Being a country girl myself, scouting out potential inner city studios is hard work – I did manage to get my grubby mitts on the TAFE database of studios and google is currently working overtime finding their websites – but I could always use a hand from my trusty Threadless pals! So if your currently looking for employment like myself, know of some funky studios that any young designer would love to work for, or have got your dream job already and have some job hunting tips for me – I need your help! |
