I don't have that kind of money...
I finally picked up my violin from the shop. It cost $68 *dies* to get new strings, three fine-tuners, and my bridge readjusted. SIXTY-EIGHT DOLLARS! WTF? I didn't realize Dominant strings cost so much, and I also noticed they gave me additional strings which range $5 - $15. Damn.

wow another violinist. yeah strings and tuners and everything do cost a handful. and it doesnt help that IF you do play professionally.. you dont make much. i've played for eight years. how about you?

hehe... i never had to pay for strings and repair cuz i always used the crappy ones issued by the school. that must suck though. rock on.

i always had my teacher do my brudge adjustment and such, bought cheap strings... the fine-tuners, that's another deal altogether :)

i played seven years before i had to quit because i couldn't keep up with any faster-than-freakishly-slow songs, and i lost ability to do vibrato. fibromyalgia sucks.

violins rock, though. although i always wanted to play cello...
