haha yeah i watched that one like 2 days ago...it was pretty funny.....one of my favourites was when they decided to make their own gas station in the trailor park......or when they made their own night club in a trailor..that one was also hilarious

Oh, was that when Corey and Trevor had to syphon all the gas? And they had coupons for like a perm or a colour and cut Mr Lahey thought it was a prostitution ring?
I love Trailer Park Boys.
They're the new Canadian standard, replacing Bob & Doug.

Hang on a minute, we (the UK) havent even got this show yet, but it's a BBC production? Thats my bloody licence fee! The BBC are bastards, they put people in prison for not buying a licence fee yet sell shows to the states and all over the world and then make revenue off the comercials. Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

haha thats weird...i dont know if we just get it in canada because it is made is a trailer park in canada...but i think you guys should get it...how can bbc put people in prison..???

little_hobbit_feet on Aug 10 '05 at 4:05pm
It's not a BBC show. It's Showcase. 100% Canadian.

If you have a TV and you don't have a license the TVLA have the authority to put you in prison - even if you swear you never watch the BBC. They can do you for just having a VCR. It's crazy. It costs £110 a year at the moment.

i still want to know how bbc can put people in jail for not buying a license fee...it seems awfully weird to me.

No, I googled it and it comes up as BBC America. As long as the British license payers arent contributing in any way, I'm happy.

because of licensing laws, I'd imagine, mertzy.
Kind of like how driving without a license can land you in jail.

For the record:

Oh ok, sorry the BBC thing threw me. The whole license fee thing is going to change soon - hopefully, the general concensus in the UK is that it's plain unair. If you're blind you get a discount by the way, haha.

"Trailer Park Boys is produced with the participation of the Canadian Television Fund created by the Government of Canada and the Canadian Cable Industry Telefilm Canada Equity Investment Program CTF License Fee Program."

Sorry, I should have researched it better. Slap on the wrist.

I live in Hertford, about 20 mins north of London. Very nice, although go 5 mins down the road and its Shitsville.

It is real funny. This tells me you can watch it if you have the Paramount Comedy Channel.

is there any place that u reccomend going...to like shop or eat..keeping in mind i dont like fish and chips, bread pudding or mushy peas
tesko
   tesko on Aug 10 '05 at 4:22pm
Haha, visit London. The number one food in Britain is actually chicken tikka masala. There are indian and chinese takeaways everywhere, more than fish n' chip shops anyway. As well as London go to the south west (Cornwall, Devon - very nice and English-y) and also the Lake District up north if you like countryside stuff. But definatly visit London, in paticular Camden, if you like threadless you'll like Camden.

Not quite. It's about £2.50. Fags are now £5.10 for twenty, and petrol is now nearly £1 a litre. I went to New York in March and felt like I was stealing - everything was so cheap.
little_hobbit_feet
little_hobbit_feet on Aug 10 '05 at 4:32pm
Holy shit, gas is HOW MUCH?? That's nearly twice what we pay in the Yukon here in Canada.
Smokes are about the same (fucking good-for-you taxes. Not that I smoke), and for some reason I thought beer was expensive too.
Regardless.
Expensive place to live.

little hobbit feet....have u ordered any shirts recently
because i ordered some like 11 days ago and it says they still havent been shipped and i was just wondering how long it normally takes for yours to get to you seeing as how you live in the yukon
little_hobbit_feet
little_hobbit_feet on Aug 10 '05 at 4:42pm
It usually takes between two days to a week for them to process and then another week for them to get up to me, but I've been waiting a week and a half for my most recent shipments. They shipped on the 1st and I'd expected them last friday and the mail lady laughs at me because I beg to give her money when she comes (for duty.)
Maybe the whole system's just congested?
mertzy12
mertzy12 on Aug 10 '05 at 4:45pm
yeah...i know that they had a computer glitch or something that made it say your order was still being processed even though it was already shipped but i was just wondering about the shipping time its self...but it doesnt really matter as long as i get them lol
little_hobbit_feet
little_hobbit_feet on Aug 10 '05 at 4:54pm
Historically a week.
Currently waiting 10 days.
