Wanna Go To Threadless HQ!?

Well . . . a lot of you have been posting in the "So Where Are All Of You?" blog -- and I have a really good idea of where most of you Threadless addicts reside -- I'm just a little down that most of you can't visit HQ in Chicago -- I thought there were more of you near here.

So I had an idea! Maybe it's a bit odd, but maybe some of you should fly/drive/walk (?) out here and we'll take a trip to HQ. I'll take ya up there and even pay for your lunch! Just keep it under $10.00, I'm super poor. But you could stay with me for a few days and then you'll go back home with a few new shirts and a lot of Threadless stickers. I just hope Threadless is still allowing walk-ins. If you're interested, let me know!

cheapoair.com has tickets for $306! kayak.com is more expensive than all the others.

i like kayak because you can do view flights 2 days before and after, and you can find some cheaper flights that way
keep trying different dates, ive seen $100 differences in one day

This might be corny but if there are a handful of sub designers coming, we could have a mini Submission marathon some night during the weekend. Inhalers, booze (if OK) and immediate critiques from fellow bloggers! I guess that would only work if we all had laptops too. I could bring my scanner if needed.

Ha! That could be fun, but it usually takes me about 3 days to work on a sub. Chances are, I'm gonna want to explore the city rather than do what I do at home. Hopefully the locals will show us all of the cool places!

i was thinking more along the lines of while we were getting crunked or waiting for food or something

for instance, we can set tora at one place w/ a cup and he'd do portraits and we'd check on his donations whenever we needed a little cash

Oh, I thought we you guys were talking about spending a whole evening doing that! I was thinking it would be fun to go out somewhere and listen to Jared sing karaoke songs. Haha.

Although if we're strapped for cash, we could draw pictures on the streets.

I will be going to BlogHer in Chicago. So I will try to tour Threadless then. I have a very busy schedule of what I want to do in such a short time.

OK, so, i have to actually buy the ticket in order for the train station to open. i'll feel weird/special having a business open just for me, but maybe someone will get paid a little extra that week.

i hadn't considered that a train would be so much slower than a car, since it doesn't really have to stop for traffic or gas or bathroom breaks. it estimates over nine hours, yikes!

so, what i might have to do is take a much shorter trip with the lil family and see if i absolutely hate it. especially if we are really thinking of doing this in july, i would have zero vacation days and having two of those days being nothing but travel time . . . well, it just doesn't sound worth it to me at the moment.

i'll keep everyone updated.

oy, i worded it all crazy. i listed the reasons i thought the train would be FASTER right after saying that they are slower.

i think if we are all there for the weekend there would be time for site seeing and draw=a=thons. also, i would guess that we don't all have to do EVERYTHING together except the actual threadless tour and business.

there's a lot of thing that i would probably potentially like to do, but my main objectives would be going to threadless HQ and store, and getting toasted with the bloggers. if i survive those two things and still make it home, i'll be glowing.

I would love to come out to Chicago this summer and check out a Cubs game and check out some cool restaurants. Sears Tower and of course skinnycorp.

I am a 20-something year old guy currently attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design as an Illustration Major. I'm usually quite shy -- so internet forums and the like are great for me because I can hide behind my computer. I love Questionable Content and the character Hannelore.

I love Threadless, and I even founded the Threadless Meet-ups with a simple blog. I made a few designs that scored 'ok' -- but I had them cleared to start fresh. If you send me Street Points, I will love you forever. I sometimes find myself bothering Charles Festa whenever I visit Threadless HQ -- he's just a cool dude.
