Well . . . a lot of you have been posting in the "So Where Are All Of You?" blog -- and I have a really good idea of where most of you Threadless addicts reside -- I'm just a little down that most of you can't visit HQ in Chicago -- I thought there were more of you near here.

So I had an idea! Maybe it's a bit odd, but maybe some of you should fly/drive/walk (?) out here and we'll take a trip to HQ. I'll take ya up there and even pay for your lunch! Just keep it under $10.00, I'm super poor. But you could stay with me for a few days and then you'll go back home with a few new shirts and a lot of Threadless stickers. I just hope Threadless is still allowing walk-ins. If you're interested, let me know!

EDIT!
If anyone is really interested, email me at outlaw01_bgp@yahoo.com

I want to go to Chicago!
I have a friend who is going to University up there, plus Threadless is there, a cool restaurant called Kitchen (but spelled wrong) and there is a lot of factories.

So, do I need to bring my sleeping bag?

hahahahahaha this makes me really happy in a nerdy blissful way

also, i'm looking to go from lawrence ks to chicago. i'm guessing it is straight through in one day. anyone good at reading charts? also, clues to where else i could look to figure out how to find out when the damned station is open?

i'm not against bringing the whole family in the car, but it would be a double level of excitement to go by train.

i've gone by train once to chicago...it was pretty awesome

we should either show up at someone's house (like 10 or more of us) totally unexpected and have sleeping bags in our arms and be like 'hey can we crash here?'

or else rent a hotel room and all bunk in there to save cash

chelly- is there a grayhound bus you can take? i'm probably worse at reading schedules than you are.

Can we get the threadless staff in on this so maybe we could set up a special walk around tour? And yes, we need to find out when the store opens! And then I need to look at good deals on flights because there's no way I'm driving/training from Cali.
iPear
iPear on Apr 06 '07 at 1:25pm
haha, you'd actually come from cali? I wanna do it, I'd love to road trip there, I'm saying that now....but it's a 12 hour drive, so I know like 3 hours in I'd be ready to murder someone
cassiepaige
cassiepaige on Apr 06 '07 at 1:25pm
Chicago is 9.5 hours away, I thought it was less!
valorandvellum
   valorandvellum on Apr 06 '07 at 1:30pm
Yeah, I've been wanting to visit! Never been there before. I think I could find a decent flight deal and it would probably only take about 3-4 hours to fly (that's how long it takes to go to Kansas). You should fly too!
iPear
iPear on Apr 06 '07 at 1:33pm
Yeah, see the thing about it is. i've never been away from my house by myself for more than a couple hours. I've never even slept over a friend's house for the night, I don't know how it would roll over if I was like "hey mom gimme like 400 bucks i wanna go to chicago for a week". Actually, I do... the answer would be "no".

I need to start working again.
cassiepaige
cassiepaige on Apr 06 '07 at 1:34pm
I doubt my parents would let me fly to Chicago to visit people I have never met before. I can dream though.

It'd be great though, Threadless, Bloggers, stalking Mimi Smartypants, and visiting my (internet) friend at college.

damn you 14 hour drive...

maybe kevin and i will feel crazy and attempt the drive this weekend...
it is my last shot at adventure for like the next 4 months...

the tour would be about 5 minutes long, theres really not much to see. i think its tough sometime cuz people just want to hang out but we actaully have to do some work around here (weird huh?)

but everyone visit and bring me gifts

So here are my thoughts...

June won't be a good month because people are graduating/finishing up school. August won't be good for me because I'll be moving. So maybe July, sometime after the 4th would be good. There's Friday the 6th which might be a decent time to go.

I've done a little bit of research on flights and can get a round trip ticket for $381. Not too bad, I suppose. It would take me to ORD.
exoticrobotic
exoticrobotic on Apr 07 '07 at 1:58pm
Yeah july sounds perfect, thats when i want to go
dont worry rooster, we will hunt you down

My designs

All about me
I am a 20-something year old guy currently attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design as an Illustration Major. I'm usually quite shy -- so internet forums and the like are great for me because I can hide behind my computer. I love Questionable Content and the character Hannelore.

I love Threadless, and I even founded the Threadless Meet-ups with a simple blog. I made a few designs that scored 'ok' -- but I had them cleared to start fresh. If you send me Street Points, I will love you forever. I sometimes find myself bothering Charles Festa whenever I visit Threadless HQ -- he's just a cool dude.
