I always thought this had print potential, but looking back at it, I think what hurt it is that it
is kind of stiff. I comped up a new sketch and I really like how it is coming along. It feels
more fun and energetic.

What do you guys think?

this fun design

which inspired me to take it a bit further. I've gotten the go ahead from
Terry to submit this idea.

New comp, posted , with new color palette (lighter keys) and faces on the keys which I kinda like.
Looking at Terry's comp though, I think it looks great without the faces too.

This is a rough sketch with alot of cut and paste, but the general idea is making a pirate
into a crazy cat lady, but of course instead of cats he is surrounded by parrots.

I would make sure do have a good helping of parrot poop in the design, so...

So what do you think?

PS the poster in the back that says "hang in there" would be hand drawn.

Update- I made a bit of progress on this, but it has a while to go.

Ignoring the roughness of the sketch is it genius? Is it played?

I thought it was a pretty great idea and I haven't seen (surprisingly) anything like it
on the interwebs.

No matter what I do I can't get my imported image to look 100% right.

There are 2 parts of the image that are not aligning correctly. There is nothing wrong with the image
itself before I import it and it is still off even before I compress it.

I've tried every format, jpg, gif, png with the same result.

I am using pilihp's 2 click template

Is there a definitive list of shirt colors that you can use for Threadless designs?

I was looking through my model templates and the ones in the new submission kit,
and I didn't see this color...

Girls and no sex killed this. But buys are so low, I don't think a better score would matter.

My expectations were so much higher for this design. The idea isn't brilliant, it's a pun, but there are plenty of puns that do well here. I thought the way I elevated it with the pop culture references and the way I designed it was enough to get a decent score and possibly a print.
