WIP Hoardarrr - What do you think? Update

This is a rough sketch with alot of cut and paste, but the general idea is making a pirate
into a crazy cat lady, but of course instead of cats he is surrounded by parrots.

I would make sure do have a good helping of parrot poop in the design, so...

So what do you think?

PS the poster in the back that says "hang in there" would be hand drawn.

Update- I made a bit of progress on this, but it has a while to go.

He is knitting a parrot sweater, yes, maybe I would have one of the birds trying to pull off a sweater they have been forced to wear.

A crazy cat lady of the high seas. You could have those horrible plates that old ladies have with cats in them. Looking good man.

Hahaha! Great wit, very cool idea!

I'm not into the dead bird, seems out of place in a pirate loves parrots narrative. Also, maybe open the bird cage doors so the parrots are free to come and go rather than locked in. I'm not sure "hang in there" adds anything to the concept. Maybe it attracts too much attention away from the central story?

Anyway, my 2¢. Terrific idea, keep going ;)

Yeah, I will leave some cages open. There is a lot of work left on this
one. Maybe you are right about the dead bird. It's funny to me and makes sense with hoarders but if I take it out maybe it will make it more sellable.

Pirate muse, I'm flattered.
You could have a long perch with different varieties of Parrot. I quite like the dead Parrot, makes me think of Monty Python. Crackers, cuttle fish, imitation, stuffed parrots, thats just about all the Parrot related things I can think of.

Really digging this, love the muted tones with the parrot green accents. I'd like to see the treasure chest in a different position with lots of parrots poking out between gold, jewels, crowns etc as they his most precious belonging. Looking good so far!
