I would agree with gumbolimbo if you wanted to sub it. . . it's just too bad 'cause I think half the joke is lost when they're not the popeye characters, but I dunno what else you can do . . .

How about some kids playing a colorful firework, or a jets flying across the sky, or maybe a huge creature in the sky painting the sky.

Just take or change a little bit of Popeyes stuff and i think you would be good. Things that make it to obvious you should get ride of like the tattoo, and maybe change up the pipe/lose it and you might be able to get away with it
