Where does the inspiration for the good designs come from? I'm going to qualify a "good design" as one that got printed, so if you have one that got printed, let me know.

haha. i actually have to agree with kendrick. If I'm really trying to come up with an idea, it usually doesn't come out. The best ideas I have bite me in the ass suddenly and there we go. If you look at my blog post "Digital Pangaea REDUX," that design went through several stages in which I abandoned my old idea for the one that it is currently. For something like the SXSW competition, I went on an hour.5 walk and thought about the meaning of "interactivated" to try and get ideas. Well, not much came out, but it was interesting. So, I guess the best thing to do is listen and be open to ideas that might appear.

Oh, and I haven't had anything printed, so you may take what I say with a grain of salt^^
