The gRizZ is a twisted dj/producer hailing from the Windy City, by way of Pittsburgh and Buffalo. The self-taught turntablist and ever-evolving producer forges his musical creations from sounds found in the past. Dusty records, dirty synths, and horror movie soundtracks create inspiration for his dark, intricate beats, peppered with scratch education. Influenced by artists like DJ Shadow, Jel, D-Styles, the Flaming Lips and Kid 606, the grizz has developed a haunting style all his own. Also makes face scrub and other cosmetic wonders during the day, using his alter ego as an chemical engineer.
