Since the 'what were the last 5 albums you bought' thread was doing well, i ask you,

"What Were the last five books you bought/read?"

(i'll include trade comics and manga. because.)
----------------------------------------------------------
Me:
Sarah Vowell- "Assassination Vacation" (still working on it)
Bruce Campbell - "If Chins could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor"
Frank McCort- "Angela's Ashes"
JK Rowling- the new harry potter book
Robert Kirkman/Tony Moore -"The Walking Dead: Days Gone Bye" (Comic book)

(and if you haven't read Sarah Vowell, you should. Same goes for Campbell's autobio. It's actually really intresting, he's a much better writer than you might think. Capivating, even.)

From A Buic 8 was pretty messed up. Did you read Everything's Eventual? Very Vonnegutt in its variation. The first story - Autopsy Room 4 (or something like that) - had me power-reading on a bus ride home. It's very tense.

There's another that I think is called All You Love Will Be Taken Away and it's very touching.

I could read The Stand continuously.

yeah angela's ashes was depressing, not as depressing as Barabra Kingsolvers' 'The posionwood bible'

that is a book that i thought would cause mass suicide, because i'd read it, and sobbed for days, then Orpah used it as a book of the month.

so suprised that millions of housewives didn't die....
