i am so pleasantly surprised that this design is going over so well :)

i realized that i hadn't sub'd in like 9 months since my last one...geesh

it seems that designs are being scored by a lot fewer voters these days... is that a recent trend?

does everyone see the "continents"?
i like them a bit subtle, so that they are: oh wow look at that!, are those continents?... oh, i get it, it's a metaphor isn't it?

but maybe they are too subtle and folks are missing them.
i was gonna work the word "continent" in the title somewhere, but just couldn't think of a good title that stated what it states now as well.

some are harder to see than others

and they all aren't exactly in a "north=up" position either.
so that may be a problem...but the iconic ones are there..

one is actually upside down on purpose... hehe, i am a dork

I noticed that too.

i have kinda been away from Threadless for a while, only stopping by to vote on a few designs every now and then...
and i didnt notice until recently that there was this big backlash against the use of "watercolor" in designs.

my last sub/print contained watercolor and was maybe only the 2nd or 3rd or so print to have watercolor in it...

well, at least i seem to be avoiding any such backlash...at least i hope so, i guess the score will tell

people who are complaining about watercolors are just being lame

you have such strong lines and blend of color the water color effect is not as In Your Face as some of the previous water color subs out there.

ahhh, i wonder if the ones that are receiving the backlash is because they used "Photoshop watercolor brushes" instead of actually painting

I agree with jeffreyg, sketchbook life is well up there in my faves. and yeh i think the main problem with watercolours is people using the cheap photoshop brushes more than anything
