I've never done a Photoshop challenge before. But this photo is just too perfect to resist. This is the hungriest cat I've ever seen, so your challenge is to Photoshop tasty food into its paws.

The Better Marriage Blanket: Possibly one of the best commercials I've ever seen in my short life. The same type of fabric used by the military to protect against chemical weapons! I'm sorry it won't embed, but it's worth going to YouTube to watch it, I swear.

Yesterday, a man gave Speedy a box of kittens! The guy was going to take them to a shelter on the bus, but Speedy had a car, so he offered to it. It wasn't as easy to find a shelter as he thought, so the kittens had to come to Threadless until Joe could take them after work.

Needless to say, with three adorable kittens running around, no one got any work done. But the good news is three Threadless employees adopted a kitten, so they all went to good homes! I wanted to keep at least one as an office cat, but there were complaints of allergies BOOOOO.

Photos all fixed! Maybe the Threadstaff parents of these kittens will take some photos as they grow up and let us know how they're doing.


We gave them tees to sleep on until they could go to their new homes.

I spent the entire Thanksgiving weekend eating and drinking in excess.***

So.

In honor of once again becoming a normal, non-gluttonous human being. I am starting this blog. I will take pictures of everything I resist eating until Christmas.

Thing one. My roommate's Mint Chocolate M&Ms:




***spinach pinwheels, cheese, French onion soup, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans (cooked in bacon grease), turkey, stuffing, cranberries, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, cookies, fudge.... and that was ONE day. Don't even get me started on the tacos and margaritas, bloody marys and breakfast sandwiches, and shrimp & grits and beer that I consumed the rest of the weekend.

As you may or may not know, I'm one of the copywriters here and working on our gargantuan site redesign project (some of you met me this weekend. Hi yous!). We know that as it stands now, the whole Threadless process ain't so clear to newcomers. So we're working to make that better!

Think back very very hard to when you were a newbie. Maybe you were just lurking around on the blogs, or maybe you were a sad panda because the awesome design you submitted got dropped from voting early. What do you know now that you wish you had known then?

So. I wanted to enter this contest to win a trip to Paris, but I knew I needed some help to execute my idea. I had to create an image or illustration based on the theme "Picture Yourself in Paris." I decided to ask some fellow Threadstaff to lend a hand. Thanks to the awesome photography and photoshopping skillz of Nikki Carlson and awesome illustration skillz of Alex Solis, I was able to submit this awesome entry:



I just found out last night that my entry made the top 10! Apparently 1,800 people entered. I couldn't believe it. I started running around my house like a crazy person. Because, if I win, I win two round-trip tickets to Paris and five nights in a fancy pants hotel.
