• that's totally metro detroit, but not southfield. the southfield freeway (m39) and i94 meet in allen park, just south of dearborn. so, you're basically looking at the home of henry ford, who's partially responsible for detroit being so f-d up.
  
  for the record, there are ~800,000 people in the city of detroit and over 5 million in the surrounding donut of suburbia.
  
  and the most fun fact about 'fixing up' detroit for superbowlXL is that they're totally putting fake stores into vacant buildings(free 1 month leases to any takers) so that it doesn't seem so desolate. it's really weird!

• the concept might not be new, but the treatment is great. i'd probably buy it if i wasn't from detroit and had a bunch of other canned sh*thole references to pick from my particular region...
